Spring 2021 Recap

Girls Season - Spring 2021:

Brief recap of the girls season. 23 players turned out for the girls team with their experience ranging from 1 year to 6 years. The team opted to play 7s instead of 15's in order to get everyone plenty of playing time. We fielded two teams for each tournament. The team has players from the following schools: Hempfield, Penn manor, E-town, Manheim Township, Warwick, Cocalico, and Wilson. The team is graduating 8 seniors and is looking forward to the challenge of adding new players to the team.

The overall season record through (4) 7s tournaments and one 15's scrimmage is 19-3-1, and at one point both teams had won 14 matches in a row. With the spring season over many of the girls will participate in the Roses Rugby summer 7s academy, and get ready for the start of the fall 7s season which will kick-off with pre-season training in Mid-August and culminate with the 7s state championships at the end of October.
