The U-18 Boys Academy team won the championship match of the Disney College Showcase on 12/30/08 as they defeated Lonestar of Texas 2-1 to claim the Predator Blue Bracket. The team did extremely well to advance given the injury to goalkeeper Tres Heffron in the 2nd game which left him unable to play for the remainder of the event. Defender Travis Lobb prompltly stepped into goal and conceded only 2 goals in the reamaining 3 games. Classics opened the event with a comfortable 4-0 win over SAC United of Maryland, tied Aeyes Gold of Texas North 1-1, then put away GSA Phoenix of Georgia 1-0 to advance to the finals.

This marks the 3rd year in a row that a Classics U-18 team has reached the finals of the Disney College Showcase, which is rated as the #1 Tournament in the Country. In 2006 the '88 Boys won the 2nd bracket, in 2007 the '89 Boys lost in the finals of the 2nd Bracket, and now the '90 Boys have won the 3rd bracket (of seven).
