The Knightmare girls rugby team won the Rugby PA state championship on Nov 6

at Weaver field in Manheim Township, defeating Downingtown 24-5 in a hard fought final.

 

Knightmare Rugby finished the day 5-0 and the fall season 29-0,

with 19 wins by shutout, including 15 shutouts in a row at one point.

Over the course of the fall season the Knightmare defeated teams from Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, New Jersey, and New York.

 

The Knightmare u-14/Developmental team competing in the Rugby PA Tier 2 division

defeated West Pitt 24-15 and Doylestown 20-7 to earn a spot in the Tier 2 final.

In another competitive match the Knightmare ran out of time to an excellent Hollidaysburg team in the final 17-10.

 

The Knightmare will take a few months off then will assemble for the 2023 Spring season in Mid-January.
