Wenger Named All-American, Nominated for Hermann Trophy

 

 

Former PA Classics Academy player, and current sophomore at Duke University, Andrew Wenger has been nominated for two national awards including the Missouri Athletic Club’s highly prestigious Herman Trophy.

Bryce Cregan called into U15 National Team Camp
Classics Defender off to California

PA Classics would like to congratulate Bryce Cregan, a member of the U14 Development Academy team, on his selection to the U15 National Team camp that kicked off on Sunday, October 24 at the the Home Depot Center in Carson, California.  The US Soccer Staff has selected 36 top players from across the nation to work out over week of 10/24 to 10/31, with 24 of the 36 players hailing from US Soccer Development Academy clubs like PA Classics.

Two Classics Players Named in U.S. U-20 National Squad
June 22-30 trip to Cairo, Egypt awaits

Congratulations to Zarek Valentin and Andrew Wenger for being named to the U.S. U-20 MNT Roster for upcoming games in Egypt.  Both players are members of the PA Classics U-18 Development Academy team.  Valentin, who recenlty graduated from Manheim Twp. High School will be attending the University of Akron in the Fall.  Wenger, a recent graduate of Warwick High School, will attend Duke University in the Fall.  To view the U.S. Soccer Article detailing the trip and the full 18 man roster, please click the "continue" button below.

2009 Development Academy Awards
Wenger and Klein snare national honors

Congratulations to Andrew Wenger (U17/18 Team) for being named to the Development Academy Starting XI for the 2009 season.  Wenger was selected to the East Conference team, one of four conferences nationally.  Additionally he was named to the overall DA Starting XI which was selected from players across the nation regardless of conference affiliation. 

Head coach Steve Klein was awarded the Coach of the Year honor for the East Conference in the U17/18 age group.  This comes on the heels of the 2008 award as the U17/18 East Conference Coach of the Year.  Congratulations to coach Klein and his staff for another great season of DA soccer.
